Terms of Service - Freedom Field Finder

1. Introduction

Welcome to Freedom Field Finder ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and platform at freedomfieldfinder.co.uk (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. About the Platform

Freedom Field Finder is a marketplace that connects dog owners ("Customers") with private field owners ("Field Owners") who offer secure, enclosed spaces for off-leash dog activities. We facilitate bookings and payments between Customers and Field Owners but do not own, operate, or manage any fields listed on the Platform.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
Keep your account credentials secure and confidential.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.

4. Bookings and Payments

4.1 Customers

When you book a field, you agree to pay the listed price for the selected time slot(s). All payments are processed securely via Stripe. By completing a booking, you enter into an agreement with the Field Owner for use of their field at the specified date and time.

4.2 Field Owners

Field Owners set their own prices for bookings. A platform fee of 20% is deducted from each booking. The remaining 80% is paid out to the Field Owner. By listing a field, you represent that you have the legal right to offer the space for hire and that it meets the description provided.

4.3 Cancellations and Refunds

Bookings may be cancelled by the Customer or by an administrator. If a booking with a completed payment is cancelled, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method. Refunds are processed via Stripe and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.

5. Field Owner Responsibilities

As a Field Owner, you agree to:

Ensure your field is safe, secure, and accurately described in your listing.
Maintain adequate fencing and any amenities listed.
Make the field available at the times specified in your availability schedule.
Hold appropriate public liability insurance for your field.
Comply with all applicable local laws and regulations.

6. Customer Responsibilities

As a Customer, you agree to:

Supervise your dog(s) at all times while using a field.
Follow any rules or access instructions provided by the Field Owner.
Leave the field in the condition you found it, including picking up after your dog.
Vacate the field promptly at the end of your booking.
Accept responsibility for any damage caused by you or your dog(s).

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
Provide false or misleading information in your account or listings.
Circumvent the Platform to arrange bookings or payments directly.
Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Platform.
Harass, abuse, or harm other users.

8. Limitation of Liability

Freedom Field Finder acts as an intermediary between Customers and Field Owners. We do not own, manage, or inspect the fields listed on the Platform. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of any field booked through the Platform.
We are not liable for the actions or omissions of any Field Owner or Customer.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of any listing information provided by Field Owners.
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in platform fees in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and materials on the Platform (excluding user-submitted content) are owned by Freedom Field Finder. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that we consider harmful to the Platform or other users. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
